Today i'm taking a tour around a warehouse conversion, Butler House in Shoreditch East London. I love the open plan space that buildings like this have to offer, those original windows bring in loads of light, while the exposed brick work and use of natural materials add warmth, preventing it from becoming a bland open space. The pops of colour from art work and fittings such as the glass door add interest and real a fun factor I think, I love the mix of industrial, contemporary, and traditional that the owners have used throughout this home, which is currently available to experience for yourself through Onefinestay. Onefinestay gives you the chance to stay in someones home like this one while they themselves are out of town, yet with the added benefit of hotel service, this is posh self catering, like Glamping is to Camping. Each guest also gets a little memento to take away with them, a Guest Book, which offers a taste of what is on offer in the area and a taste of what other homes are on offer both in London and in New York. What do you think, could you make your self at home here for a few days or more?

I luv the exposed brick with the crisp clean sleek look of the whitt wide wood plank flooring (LOVE!!). I'm ready to vaca there :)
ReplyDeleteI know its lovely, I'd never want to leave!
DeleteI love the industrial windows! They always remind me of a funky American Studio type appartment, from a rom-com or something!
ReplyDeletePlus the open brick can be dealt with in so many ways! Paint or my fave, getting something really cool like a newspaper and pasting it onto the brick! it gets into each and every crack and looks fantastic!
